For close to 30 years I’ve designed, programmed, and operated lighting for artists ranging from Bob Dylan to Korn and Jack Johnson to 50 Cent, creating ambiance for 120-piece orchestras to solo acoustic and everything in between. My corporate experience is just as diverse, from car shows, gaming conventions, and fashion shows to installations in the Denver Science Museum. Enthusiasm, attitude, experience, and ability (not to mention a few more words beginning with vowels) have made me capable of creating an entertaining result no matter the obstacles. I’ve always liked being like the Wizard of Oz–the guy behind the curtain making the magic. I still get a kick out of the swell of applause after a song or the “ooohs” and “ahhhs” at an event. Barring a winning lottery ticket or a freakishly large inheritance I’ll remain behind the console when those house lights go dim and then fade to black.
